Detectable Warning Mats Advance Traffic Markings (ATM)
Easy Installation

It is critically important to have at least 1" of solid surface beyond the edge of the Detectable Warning Mat on all four sides. Thoroughly clean the area to which the mat is being applied with high pressure air.

Place template 1" larger than the mat on the prepared surface.
Prime the entire template area with ATM Permanent Primer. This may be done by roller, brush or sprayer.
Permanent Primer must be thoroughly dry and firm before the mat can be applied, Depending on temperature and humidity, this will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
Place the Warning Mat into position.

Tamp the Warning Mat in place with an instrument such as the ATM 19151 Tamper Cart*.

Special attention should be paid to the outside edges of the Detectable Warning Mats to make sure they are firmly adhered to the surface.
For large installations it is recommended the installer purchase a specially designed ATM 19151 Tamper Cart. This will greatly reduce installation time and insure a successful installation.
Depending on surface conditions and local and state requirements included anchoring system may be used.

Refer to included diagram for proper anchor attachment, pre-drill holes with 3/16" masonry bit and install anchor bolts.
CAUTION: screw bolts to the top of the mat only. Over-tightening or screwing bolts beyond this will damage the mat and void their warranty.
Open to traffic immediately.
